Griffin, a trusted name in third-party Apple accessories has released their greatest addition to the suite of 3G iPhone protective cases!

The Griffin Clarifi Easydock for the iPhone 3G offers not only great protection from dents and scratches with its hard polycarbonate outer shell.  Once you put the Clarifi on, your 3G iPhone instantly becomes more useful as a photography tool!  How?  The Griffin Clarifi includes a small lens built into the case which slides over the standard iPhone lens to give it a macro focal point providing much cleaner and focused shots of small detailed items such as text!

This is an incredible feature which opens up a whole new world of possibilities for your iphone, such as improved accuracy for the use of barcode scanning software such as Snappr which allows you to take photos of the barcodes on products. It then analyzes that barcode, and shows you other websites with price comparisons for that same product!  This is extremely useful when shopping at local retail outlets where you are trying to get the best price possible!

The Clarifi case will also allow you to take more legible photos for use with the Evernote iPhone application which allows you to take a photo of any text, including hand writing, and it will provide you with a text file of that information.  Great for getting a quick copy of the notes and meeting information written on a boardroom wall or stealling your classmate’s term paper!

The Griffin Clarifi is currently only available for the iPhone 3G and is priced very well in standard with most other popular protective cases, especially considering the added macro lens feature! Only available in Black.
